Andrei Vulpescu, journalist, as soon as he finished reading the book ”Conscious Parenting”, was inspired to sketch a few thoughts about his personal impressions, and sent us a review. We invite you to read it too.

It depends on us.

"I made you, I can destroy you! You do as I say! I know better what you need in life! I do not need to read; how hard can it be?" - these are just a few words that you cannot help hearing in this life.

You know them from childhood, from your own people or from others, and you hear them even when you are a parent. Sometimes you use them too - well, most of the time they are deeply rooted - other times you hear them from other parents, while you rejoice that you are raising your child with love.

People do not want to change. Time is only a ridiculous excuse. No, they raise their children the way they themselves were raised, and their children, once grown, wonder - if they manage to open their eyes a little wider - why certain things happen in their lives.

For example, why they experience a feeling of abandonment or lack of love. What are the causes? It never occurs to them that the answer lies somewhere in childhood, with the very "parents" who abused them out of "love".

If you tell them, they get upset - "you and your books... read less and try to live more" :))

When I was asked to put down a few words about this book, I felt a slight fear. Why? Because I realized that I too had made the same mistakes that many people make.

And yet, reading the book, I realized that more or less instinctively I had managed to cultivate a beautiful, conscious and honest relationship with my daughter; I understood how important the first years are and learned a great many useful things.

As a parent, I reserve the right to embrace the information in this book that I feel resonates with me.

This is what I advise everyone to do. Whether we will have angels or beasts is a matter that depends on us, a matter we must assume from the very moment we think about having a child.

It depends on us. Let us not use ignorance as a shield. The information exists, it is accessible, so shields no longer have a purpose".
